DDDS SHOW PREP AND IMPORTANT INFO :
Hello Parents,
Show is just around the corner! There is going to be a lot of information in this announcement so please be sure to read it very carefully!
***STAGE REHEARSAL INFO***
On the week of the show instead of having the classes as they normally are at Dynamic duo, on Monday the 14th and Tuesday the 15th students classes will be held at the theater at the students regular class time.
Monday and Tuesday your kids will still have their normal one hour class however it will be held at the theater rather than the Dance Studio.
FULL STUDIO STAGE REHEARSAL FOR ALL STUDENTS
Wednesday, March 16th 4:30pm-7:30pm
Thursday, March 17th 4:30pm-7:30pm
At EL PORTAL THEATER – 5269 Lankershim Blvd North Hollywood, CA 91601
The Tuesday/Thursday 4:00pm class will ONLY be attending the rehearsal on Thursday March 17th NOT WEDNESDAY.
We will have chaperones in the front of the theater to escort your child in as there will be no entry into the theater for parents.
Children must bring/wear:
- Packed snacks
- Bottled water (No sodas or juice will be allowed)
- Formal dancewear ↓

***SHOW DAY INFO***
On the day of the recital, Friday, March 18th at 7:30pm & Saturday, March 19th at 6:30pm
FIRST SHOW Friday, March 18th (7:30pm)
Dancers will be expected to arrive to “EL PORTAL THEATER”:
Friday at 4:00pm with hair and make-up done.
Your children will be all put into groups where each group will be assigned with a chaperone during the entire show day!
SECOND SHOW Saturday, March 19th (6:30pm)
Dancers will be expected to arrive to “EL PORTAL THEATER”:
Saturday at 3:00pm with hair and make-up done.
Your children will be all put into groups where each group will be assigned with a chaperone during the entire show day!
*Both shows are the exact same show!*
*Everyone is in both shows!*
We also ask that parents not enter the backstage/dressing room area AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON before, during, or after the show and rehearsal even if your child is young. Space is limited and kids will be changing and need privacy. If you need to speak to your child at any time during the stage rehearsal or show day, we will provide 3 phone numbers where you will be able to reach one of the supervisors in the back during this time.
***HAIR AND MAKEUP INFO***
Hair for show day:
All girls of all ages need to do a sleek low ponytail at the base of the neck, neat and secure. Pony tail can be curly or straight. Please make sure the hair elastic is the color of your child’s hair; no bright colors and no hair accessories.
Below is a link to a tutorial on the sleek ponytail we expect for the show.
Boys: nice clean combed hair with hair gel to keep it in place
Make-Up:
5-10yr olds: Red lipstick & blush is recommended, everything else is optional but please age appropriate!
All other students:
Foundation, mascara, red lipstick
Other makeup is not required but we suggest a little blush and eyeshadow so they do not look washed out with the bright lights on stage.

GIRLS:
Tan fishnet leggings for all girls
Nude bra
Nude underwear
Tan color Latin shoes
ALL COSTUMES MUST BE NEATLY IRONED AND ORGANIZED IN HAMPER WITH EACH COSTUME AND ACCESSORIES ACCORDING TO EACH DANCE
BOYS:
Black Latin Heels
Everyone:
Pop up hamper
